Nervousness

It begins,
Palms are sweaty
Knees weak
Arms are heavy.

Then,
Glancing.
Panicking.
Butterflies are swarming,
Attacking you,
Eating you up.
Name...

Called.
Thinking...
Will be fine,
Will be awesome.

Realize...
It will be fine
It will be awesome.

Then gone.
With no trail left behind

Free Verse Poem

I will glance up
Never down,
Always up.
With reverence,
With approbation,
With veneration.
WE ALWAYS HAVE ONE PERSON WE LOOK UP TOOAt my parents,
At my brother,
At my elders.
I know the path will be paved,
The light will shine,
The star will rise,
Just have to look up

They're the ones
Who care for me,
Who give me passions and aspiring dreams,
Who will be there.
As I sit here,
I realize,
Always look up.

Hurricane Irene vs. Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy, the giant gust of wind, howling in the gloomy day while battling my house to the death... To the frivolous, Hurricane Irene, which did not even engage my house into a tickle fight. Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Irene were two hurricanes that I have two totally different perspectives on. Both caused damage to New Jersey, but through my eyes Hurricane Sandy would be more disastrous. As you can see Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Irene had a tremendous difference in how each affected me.

Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Irene affected me two different ways. Hurricane Sandy was very scary. The winds blew very hard and inflicted much damage with these winds. I was very scared to sleep near a window during Hurricane Sandy, in fear the glass might shatter and pierce my skin. Also, Hurricane Sandy left me without power, making me very bored but left me with fabulous books to read. Hurricane Irene on the other hand was very calm. This is because I did not get affected by Hurricane Irene at all. It was if it was a normal day. Hurricane Irene did make me a little nervous because it was the first major storm I encountered. But I was upset to find out that I didn't get touched by Irene. As you can see Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Irene were very different in how they affected me.

Two Places I Have Traveled

The excitement you get when you go to a new destination...The buildings. The billboards. The people. Everything is bodacious and radiant, even the smile creeping up on your face, involuntarily showing your joy. You wonder how awesome this destination can be, anticipating for the adventure that will follow you. Two places that can feed this excitement to you are New York and New Delhi. Although they are very similar they share differences in climate such as the clothes you wear in each city.

Climate is a key factor in a place. It affects many things like the clothes you wear and the activities you do. The two cities are very different in climate. New Delhi being extremely hot all year long and New York being  hot and cold depending on which season. This affects the clothes you wear.  In New Delhi you would have to wear short sleeved shirts and shorts most of the time, while in New York you would dress up depending on the season and temperature. Since in India it is hot all the time, you can stock up on summer time clothes, and in New York you have to get all types of clothes. All in all, the cities are different in the type of clothing which should be worn.

As you can see New York and New Delhi are very different cities.

One word to Describe Me...

In this world there are many words, and choosing the right word to describe you might be difficult. After thinking long and hard I have finally found a word to describe me: Competitive.
I realized that I am very competitive, and rely on competition for almost everything.

From a simple game of tag, to the championship game of basketball, if there is any way I can change the outcome of a game to my favor I will do it. I think I first picked up this competitive spirit from sports. If I ever played a football/basketball/soccer game, I would always want to win, and I would always hold my head up high when I did. When I lost I would be a little upset, but would be glad that I gave it my all. This carried on to my every day life, and not just sports. Now I always want to win everything and be the best at everything. You can even ask my friends. When we play touch football I am always on their case if they don't catch the ball, or if my friends on the other team make an unjust call. I guess I just HAVE to win.

I am glad I have this competitive spirit. If not for this spirit who knows what great opportunities I could miss in the future. Now a days all I think about is how I can be the best human being I can be and the best grades I can get, by competing with myself to do better, and by competing with everyone else so I can be the best and be happy for a long time. The competition is what drives me to do the best. The competition is why I get up in the morning. Competition is what I breathe.

Refund Review Draft

The one act play 'Refund' by Hungarian  writer Fritz Karinthy is very comedic and enjoyable. When I came across this play, I had low expectations because it was a very old story. That all changed within reading a few lines of the script. Before I knew it, I was laughing and enjoying the script. If you ever wan to have a good laugh, read "Refund".

"Refund" is about an ex-student coming back to his old school and demanding his tuition fees paid back because he apparently learned nothing there. The Principal is outraged at his remark. He knows the ex-student is only doing this because he can get money. Both the Principal and ex-student decide to hold an exam to see if he really did learn nothing. The Principal decides to gather the Professors of his school : The Professors of History, Math, Geography, and Physics. The Principal tells them that the ex-student will purposely fail, so they will have to purposely make him have the correct answer even if he is clearly saying the wrong answers. The Professors ask the ex-student questions. One by one they ask him a question and he says the wrong answer but they wisely prove his answers are correct. In the end the ex-student does not get his refund.

"Refund" has a very good story, and though you just read my summary of it, that is a very broad idea of how much fun reading "Refund" can be. There are very comedic dialogues sure to make you laugh. "Refund" has a very creative and comical story line that will make you wanting for more. Refund is very interesting so why not read it today. I give it an 8 out of 10.

How to make a Chocolate Milkshake

There are a variety of drinks in the world. Some are quite enjoyable. Some not as enjoyable. One drink most everyone likes is a milkshake. There are a variety of milkshakes. I will be specifically teaching you how to make a chocolate milkshake. Choclate milkshakes are very enjoyable to drink.

To make a choclate milkshake you will need these materials: a blender to make the milkshake, chocolate ice cream which is the main ingrediant, a cup to pour your milkshake into, an ice cream scooper, and an electrical outlet for you to plug the blendor into. These materials will help you to make a fabulous milkshake.

First, you have to scoop a decent amount of  ice cream out of the box. You have to be the judge yourself how large of an milkshake you want. Then, put this amount of ice cream by scooping it out of the carton using an ice cream scooper. Then, after you have scooped the ice cream into the blender, plug the blender into an outlet and turn on the blender, by pushing the on button, and wait.

After you have seen the ice cream turned into liquid, turn off the blender by pressing the off button on your blender. Then pour all of the chocolate ice cream which is now a milkshake in the cup, and you are done making a milkshake.

Milkshake are very fun to drink. After a vigorous exercise a milkshake goes perfect. Milkshakes are a perfect calcium provider too. You will be delighted when you can make your own milkshake, and that is why it is better than store-bought ones. It comes from the heart!

How to Make An Omelet

Making an omelet is fairly simple. But, not following the proper steps could easily ruin your omelet or even start a fire in your house. But, don't worry. I am here to teach you how to make an omelet easily, step by step. There are many types of omelets. Today, I will teach you how to make a yummy normal omelet. Omelets can be enjoyed in many ways. How will you enjoy your omelet?

To make an omelet you will need a stove to cook the omelet, a frying pan to place the omelet on to cook, a spatula to flip the omelet, a bowl to place the yolks in, a plate to put your delicious omelet upon,1 egg to get yolk which is the main ingredient in an omelet, and 2 teaspoons of unwrapped butter.

First crack the egg by skillfully and gently hitting it on the rim of the bowl. Be sure to hit the egg at its center. Then after you have made a decent crack separate the egg into the bowl so you are holding the eggshell and the yolk is in the bowl. Throw the eggshell in the trash.

Turn on the stove and place the pan on top. Make sure to put the stove on medium flame. Then place the butter on top of the pan until it is melted.

Then, take the bowl and pour the yolk into the frying pan. Wait 15 seconds an carefully flip the omelet over. Make sure all of the side that was just facing you is flipped over. Then flip the omelet again after another 15 seconds. Do this again 2 more times. After the omelet is well cooked you are done making an omelet. Turn off the stove put you pan and bowl in the sink. And place the other materials where they belong. After you are done doing this place your yummy omelet on the plate and enjoy it!

There are many ways to enjoy an omelet. You can eat it plain, with vegetables, even with cheese. My favorite preference of eating an omelet is with my breakfast. An omelet goes good with french toast sticks in the morning, or you can have just the omelet for breakfast. You can buy an omelet from a store, but ones that are homemade are the best. They are full of heart and pride!

Apprentice Blogpost

The past 4 and a half weeks I have been working on the Apprentice project. I have been working with Apex which contained 3 close friends and 1 stranger I didn't know much about. Over time I have built a friendship with  the stranger and now we are pretty close friends. I think Apex did well in all the tasks, but had some difficulties. We did everything in the last second possible. Also some people didn't do their job. That is my experience with Apex.
 Not Actually Us
I've learned many wonderful things from the Apprentice Project. I've learned many special things like making resumes in the project, but that is the important things I learned. I learned how to work together in a team. I learned that everything doesn't revolve around me. I have learned many wonderful things with the apprentice project.

New Year Resolutions

Many people have goals for the New Year. These goals are called resolutions. For this New Year I have 3 resolutions. Some people are broad with their resolutions and don't explain how they are going to these things. I know what you're thinking, why the heck would I want to read about someone's New Years resolution that I don't even know? I'll tell you why. Maybe, reading my resolutions will give you an idea for a resolution to make your life better. Remember don't be too unrealistic, like saying you want to fly for your resolution, or you want to swim to India from Mexico. You have to be realistic.
                                .

Goal #1 I want to get straight A's on my report card for the rest of the year. I plan on doing this by studying a little each night or whenever I have time. I will study for all my tests and do all my homework.

Goal #2 I want lose 10 pounds. I recently looked at my mirror and said, " I am fat!" I plan to work out and do some sort of exercise for at lest 60 minutes. I want to drink at least a gallon of water everyday and control my sugar intake.

Goal #3 I want to make 10 new friends. I don't want to be that person who is socially awkward. I want to meet new people and I want them to like them for who I truly am. I want friends that will be there for me later in life.

Those are my goals or resolutions for the New Year. What are yours.
